You only get a few minutes to capture that glow before it totally changes color and disappears. This shot was taken on the Quaboag River in Brookfield, Massachusetts, near the boat landing on Rt. 148. Camera is looking east just at sunset, when the opposite horizon picks up some nice coloring. It appears to be early fall, as the trees are also showing some color. This whole area, for several miles up and down the river, has a thick population of swamp maples on either side of the river. It's also one the first areas to show color in the fall...with red being highly predominate, and when it's in full song, there's an incredible swath of red that's really quite a show in mid September or so.
